Why Waiting Cost This Client Her Supplement

I just heard from a client who did not leave her expensive Supplement a year ago out of fear that if she moved to another company, her coverage would change. She passed up over $80/month in savings for the same Plan G.

Despite me explaining that Federal regulations on Supplements require that all plans with the same letter cover the same exact services, provide the same access to doctors and hospitals, and pay providers the same reimbursement, she decided not to apply.

It wasn’t until her premium went up another $50 this year, exceeding $300 per month, that she reached back out to me hoping to move from the policy she no longer could afford.

However, between now and our last conversation in 2025, she fell, fractured her wrist, and was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. Osteoporosis with a fracture(s), unfortunately, is an automatic denial with every Supplement company sold in her zip code. Therefore, she no longer qualifies to get a new policy at a lower price.

She has no option other than to move to an Advantage Plan, something she always hoped to avoid.

Don’t let your fear and anxiety influence your decisions like this!

If you’ve had a Supplement for 5 years or longer, especially if it’s Plan G or F, reach out. We can get a quote, do a medical underwriting pre-screen, answer all questions, and address concerns prior to applying.

Don’t “wait and see” what’s going to happen next year like this client did!
