Aaron’s Advice on Life Insurance

Your kids and grandchildren need Life Insurance. In fact, every young married couple and those with kids under 18 should have it. Period.

In the past year, two people very close to me had family members, a daughter and a sister, who lost their husbands, both just in their 20s, to cancer.

One of these men had no life insurance and left his wife financially destitute with a young daughter to raise. In her grief, she’s now struggling with despair and depression, relying on mother and stepfather to help pay her mortgage and other bills, a burden for everyone.

The other young lady was blessed that her husband had a significant life insurance policy. Despite her grief, when I spoke with her recently, I could sense and see some hope in her eyes of building a new future thanks to her husband’s responsible planning.

Term Life Insurance is designed for young people on a budget who need to protect spouses and children in the event of tragedy. It’s so inexpensive, there’s no excuse not to have it. A $100,000 20-year term policy for those in their 20s literally costs $10 per month. $250,000 is in the $20/month range.

Unfortunately, too many young people put this important purchase off. That’s where you come in. Do whatever it takes to make sure they get a policy. You can actually be the payor, owner, and even possibly the beneficiary. You can start the ball rolling will a call to Tony DiRoma, our Life Insurance Specialist at The Health Insurance Store.
