There’s no cookie cutter approach to Medicare due to the two different types of Medicare plans and everyone’s individual circumstances, so it’s impossible to give one piece of blanket advice to all. But I’ll provide as much general advice as I can and break down our recommendations for those who prefer Advantage Plans as well as those who prefer or are considering Supplements.

Supplements are very easy to understand and designed to cover the “gaps” in Medicare, hence the other name they are often referred to, Medigap. Those who have them pay their premiums and almost nothing else. The plans we recommend limit one’s out of pocket medical expenses to just the $198 Part B deductible on Plan G, and the deductible, a $20 physician’s office visit co-pay, and a $50 Emergency Room co-pay on Plan N.
