Supplements are easy to understand and are designed to cover the gaps in Medicare, that is why you will hear them sometimes being called Medigap plans. Supplements cover everything accept Part D prescription plans. They also allow the beneficiary to go to any health care provider in the country and be covered. They are really important for people to understand. Supplement benefits also never change.
The premiums can go up over time and once you switch to and Advantage plan you may never be accepted for a Supplement again.
