Helping a Client Reduce Upfront Costs with Pacenet

I recently spoke with a client I helped enroll in PACENET in December to see if they might qualify for additional assistance, such as the Medicare Savings Program (also known as the Part B Buy-In through the state), which can help pay Medicare Part B premiums and other costs for those who meet certain income and resource limits.

While they weren’t eligible for additional programs at this time due to their resources, they shared what a relief PACENET has been. PACENET is a Pennsylvania program that helps lower prescription drug costs for eligible older adults. Because of this coverage, they didn’t have to meet a large drug deductible at the start of the year, something that had always caused them stress.

Instead of facing those high upfront costs, they were pleasantly surprised to pay only a fraction of what they expected. They expressed how grateful they were for the support and for the services we provide to help guide clients through their options.
